Dr. Jeff Hoffman is the Chief Medical Information Officer and Division Chief of Clinical Informatics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and serves as program director for their ACMGE-accredited Clinical Informatics fellowship. With board certifications in clinical informatics, pediatric emergency medicine and general pediatrics, and with over 25 years of clinical practice experience, Dr. Hoffman has long understood the value of information and information technology in the service of patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Through the use of electronic medical record systems and other health information technologies, Dr. Hoffman supports patient care activities, population health management programs, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and clinical research. His primary interests are in the domains of clinical decision support, provider efficiency, utilization management, health information exchange, and system governance.
