Information below pertains to the 2018 conference. Details for the next NCAD will be announced in early 2019.
The National Conference on Alcohol & Addiction Disorders is the premier provider of continuing education for addiction, behavioral and mental health professionals. We bring together the best and brightest speakers from many disciplines.   NCAD Sessions and workshops are intended for Addiction Therapists, Therapists, Counselors, Clinical Counselors, Clinical Supervisors, Pastoral Counselors, Psychologists, Social Workers Administrators, Physicians, Executives,  Mental Health Therapists, Social Workers and allied professionals in the fields of addictions and behavioral health.
 
Conference Objectives:
  1. To identify current evidence-based specific diagnostic and treatment approaches, counseling skills and modalities that will be successfully applied to the fields of mental health, behavioral health and addictive disorders, including but not limited to: Recovery Support, Trauma Integrated, Co-Occurring, Holistic, Alcohol, Prescription Drug and Opioid, Abuse, Process Addictions, Prevention/Intervention and Ethics.
  2. To identify the symptoms and characteristics of the disorders mentioned in objective #1.
  3. To participate in sessions and workshops that offer assessments and treatments to address disorders in objective#1.

Session credit times

Sessions that are 90 minutes qualify for 1.5 CE hour

Sessions that are 60 minutes qualify for 1.0 CE hour

Lunch sessions earn 1.0 CE hour, lunch cannot be included.

The SAM Summit on Wednesday, August 22

Attendees will earn 3 CE hours, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Clinical approval for marketing program

The Behavioral Health Association of Providers (BHAP) course is approved for 15 CCAPP CE hours.

 

Sessions not approved for Clinical credit at NCAD

Leadership and Management are not approved for CE hours

To receive Continuing Education clinical credits for approved educational sessions, you must:
1. Have your badge scanned in and  out of each session for attendance verification purposes.
2. Attend each session in full.
3. Complete the CE-Go online process within 45 days of the end of the event.
 
CE Go online evaluation and certificate process
1. Ensure you are able to receive messages from support@ce-go.com.
2. You will receive an email from CE go with a link to fill in your session evaluations.
3. Add sessions you attended to your roster for that day.
4. Complete the evaluation form for each session you attended.
5. Complete the overall conference event evaluation.
6. Download your Continuing Education Certificate for your records.

NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
AAHCPAD - American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders
NCAD's continuing education co-sponsor, CE Learning Systems, LLC, dba CE-credit.com, has been approved to offer continuing education credit for (Certified Addiction Specialists CAS) in accordance with the American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders. AAHCPAD, 16-1460.
Credit may be claimed for all Certified Addiction Specialists (CAS)
AMA -The American Medical Association, Category 2 CME Credit, Self Claiming
This program has not been submitted for CME but can be self applied for Category 2 self claiming only.
 
Category 2 activities are self-designated by those applying for the PRA. In order to determine the number of Category 2 credits to be declared, physicians should record the actual number of hours spent in the learning activity. Category 2 credits do not need to be documented or verified by an external party. It is recommended that physicians maintain on-going records of these activities in preparation for submission of information for the Physician's Recognition Award Self-claiming only.
Credit may be claimed for Physicians.

APA - American Psychological Association
CE Learning Systems, LLC, is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Credit may be claimed for psychologists, mental health professionals.
 
ASWB - Association of State Social Work Boards
CE Learning Systems (Provider #1020) is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education ACE program. CE Learning Systems LLC maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 02/23/2016 – 02/23/2019. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers participating in this course will receive up to 23 continuing education hours (inlcudes preconference).

California Board of Behavioral Sciences - CA BBS
CA BBS does not offer provider status anymore.
Any professional belonging to the CA BBS make take a course that is approved by a national approval agency (APA, ASWB) and still receive credit for it.
CCAPP - The California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals 
CCAPP is an approved provider., provider Number OS-11-154-0819
Approval Period 08-30-2017 to 08-30-2019.
 
CAARR and CAADAC have become The California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). 
Credit may be claimed for all drug counselors, CCS- Certified Clinical Supervisor and CCPS -Certified Clinical Supervisor.
 
Marketing Sessions are approved.
 

IC&RC -International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium

This program is approved.

IC&RC establishes, monitors, and advances reciprocal competency standards for eight reciprocal credentials: Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ADC), Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (AADC), Clinical Supervisor (CS) Prevention Specialist (PS)  Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP) Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CCDP) Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate (CCDPD), Peer Recovery (PR).

NBCC - National Board for Certified CounselorsVendome Group, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6791.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Vendome Group, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

All sessions are approved EXCEPT the Marketing and Leadership sessions.

NAADAC Provider # 99312.  Vendome Group LLC is responsible for all aspects of their programming. Programs that do not qualify for NAADAC credit are clearly identified. The total credits available for NAADAC are up to 26.50 (inlcudes preconference).

State Boards:
Because regulations and guidelines do change, please check with your state licensing board to ensure that nationally approved courses can be used to satisfy your continuing education needs. In most cases state licensing boards allow courses for re-certification if they are nationally approved.
 
NY – Social Workers
Vendome Group's Co-Sponsor, CE Learning Systems SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0060.  The program is approved.
 

Nursing Credentialing

While we have not submitted directly to (ANCC),American Nurses Association any educational content that is available through an ANCC sponsored organization, agency or education institution can be used to meet renewal requirements.
