On July 12, the editors of Healthcare Innovation announced the four winning teams and six semi-finalist teams in this year’s Healthcare Innovation Innovator Awards Program. The first-place winning team was a team from UCHealth, whose leaders first created a Virtual Health Center to support a variety of operations across the organization’s hospital facilities. They then went on to leverage data analytics to support a new approach to identifying and addressing sepsis in patients far earlier than has been the norm. Steve Hess, Ph.D. and Amy Hassell, R.N. will sit down with Healthcare Innovation Editor-in-Chief Mark Hagland to discuss their accomplishments.
